SC239 & LSC231 A Single Friend (plus a freebie)

Hey all! Aren't you glad it's Friday? I know I am!! I am so looking forward to a nice quiet weekend (a girl can dream).

I am trying to catch up on some challenges, so my card today is for two. Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC239 and Limited Supply Challenge LSC 231. The LSC was to have a diecut of some kind as the focal point and to only use a sentiment. My die cut is the Nestabilites Labels Four and I created the sentiment in Photoshop.

I had so much fun making the sentiment and I was pretty excited about how it turned so I am going to offer it as a free digital sentiment.

Just right click on the image below and save it to your computer.

Simply Sassy Sketch ~ Hey Girl

Morning all! Hope you are having a great Wednesday so far! It is a cloudy, dreary day here in Ohio. Well I know I promised you another card yesterday but real life stepped in and that just did not happen.

This card is for the Weekly Sketch Challenge over at a the Simply Sassy forum. I used the digital Diva Stamp by Reece's Designs available now at Simply Sassy Designs. I printed the image on PTI Select White and colored it with Prismacolor Markers.

The sentiment is computer generated with the CK Becky free font available here. I added the sentiment to the image in Photoshop and printed it all at once.

Well, I am off to clean the house and run some errands.

MOJO96 & DTC16 ~ Christmas in July

Hi all! It is another cloudy, rainy day here in Ohio. We have another cheer practice tonight so I wanted to get this posted. Speaking of cheerleading, my daughter is super excited...she was one of the few 4th graders selected to move up to the Senior Team. She loves cheering and this just made her summer!!

My card today is for two challenges, Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and Digital Tuesday Christmas in July Challenge. I just adore this digital image from DigiStamp Characters. I printed the image on PTI Select White and colored it with Prismacolor Markers. I am trying to improve my shading and highlighting and I think I did a little better with this card. Overall, I am not sure about this card, it is a little busier than I usually do.

Well, that's all I have for now but stay tuned...I have an announcement coming up that I am super thrilled about!!

CAS24 ~ Soaring by...

Afternoon all! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Yesterday we all went to the water park and we had a Blast!! The have this awesome thrill ride called Liquid Lightning...it is a like a giant funnel. Here a few pics of the kids riding it. They love it and ride it over and over!!

My card today is for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoast. It is a color challenge using turquoise, orange and yellow. These are very summery colors, I decided to ink up my new PTI set Everyday Button Bits. This set is fantastic for button lovers!! All the image have blank spaces for you to add your buttons. I love these little hot air balloons, they are perfect with the included sentiment!!

I dug into my stash of PTI Vintage Buttons and came up with this. The buttons are Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart. I stamped the hot air balloons and sentiment in Tuxedo Black from Memento.

Inky Impressions 2nd Design Team Call

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. It has been a pretty quiet weekend around here (for once). I finally found some time this evening to sneak away and spend some time in my craft room.

I saw this DT Call for Inky Impressions on Splitcoast and figured what the heck I might as well give it a try and this is what I came up with!

Here is the color combo we were to use to create our card. I did not have these exact colors so I used the closest colors I could find in my stash. I used Scarlet Jewel cardstock, Ripe Avocado Ribbon, and used Blue and Brown Prismacolor Markers. I also added Kraft cardstock. The image and sentiment are from the Vintage Picnic set at Papertrey Ink.

I printed a french script in brown onto the kraft cardstock before cutting it and used a scallop punch on the Scarlet Jewel CS.

Be sure and check out my Blog Candy and Thanks for stopping by,

MOJO95, DTC15 ~ Cowboy Ethan

Hello everyone! It is such a beautiful day here in Ohio. My card today is for two challenges the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and the Digital Tuesday Easy as 1, 2, 3 Challenge.

The digital image I chose today is from a set called The Weiman Wranglers available at Pink Cat Studios. These stamps were created to honor Ethan Weiman and his younger sister Ava. On June 12th, Ethan lost his battle with Neuroblastomo and was welcomed into the loving arms of god. All proceeds from this set will be given to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Illinois. They have raised over $2,000 so far. If you haven't had a chance to try digital stamps, this would be the perfect set to give them a try. The entire set is $6.00 or you can get either just Ethan or just Ava with both sentiments for $4.00.

The patterned paper is from a free digital kit called Rough Riders by Sande Kreiger available at Two Peas in a Bucket.

Be sure and check out my Blog Candy and Thanks for stopping by,

Showers of Blessings

Just a quick post today, My BIL's fiancees Bridal Shower is coming up soon and I actually finished the card early (woohoo). For once I won't be rushing around at the last minute to get it done.

I used the sentiment and outline umbrella stamp in the Scattered Showers set from PTI. I stamped it onto two different patterned papers in the Raspberry Fizz Mix also from PTI. The umbrellas are popped up and layered over each other. I rounded off the bottom corners and used a black writer around the card edges. I used polka dot paper on the bottom and on the inside of the card as well. The inside is stamped with another sentiment in the set ~ Wishing you Showers of Blessings. I finished it off with some great ribbon and a bow!!

CAS Sweet Little One

Happy Friday everyone!! Yesterday, I took the kids to the Wild Water Kingdom and I am still trying to recover!! It was a great time and the kids can't wait to go back! We actually have season passes this year so they won't have to wait to long :) Not sure if I will survive all those visits though LOL.

In other news, next week it will be a year since I smoked my last cigarette. I gotta say that quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I have ever done and I am super excited to be reaching the one year mark. I am not so thrilled about the 15 to 20 extra pounds I have gained during this year but I am working on losing that!! Anyway, stay tuned because I am putting together some blog candy to celebrate my one year milestone and will be posting it next week!!

My card today uses almost all digital supplies. It is pretty simple but I just love this digital image from Doodle Palace. It is so perfect for a baby boy card!! I printed the image twice and cut out and popped up the teddy bear. The patterned paper is also digital from a free kit called My Baby Love at Raspberry Road Designs and the sentiment is computer generated using the Typical Writer font.

So Berry Sweet

Good evening everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far. It was another beautiful day in Ohio.

I think I may have mentioned in a previous post that I was making the invitations for my BIL wedding?! Well anyway, they are officially done!! I dropped the 300 Invites and RSVP cards off this evening!! When, I orginally agreed to do the invites I was under the impression it was going to be a small wedding and I was floored when they told me they needed 300 invites!! In my mind that is not a small wedding but I had already agreed so I just bit my tongue and charged on!!

Well enough of my rant and on to the fun stuff. My card today uses a digital stamp from Doodle Palace. They have the most adorable images and they are so versatile!! I have been wanting to make a card with these bunnies for awhile and I am really pleased with the way it turned out! If you have been wanting to try digital stamps then go for it!! They are fun and easy to use and can be colored with all the same things that you use on regular stamped images!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We finally had nice quiet day here. The kids spent the day swimming at friend so I was able to spend a little time in my craft room.

I have another card using the awesome Bella eKit from Making Handmade Cards. The printable papers in this kit are so versatile and were perfect for this sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

I used the Star Print set from PTI for the sentiment. These are fast becoming my favorite stamps. The images and sentiments can be used for just about anything!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Congrats!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!! Hope you all are enjoying your holiday weekend. It has been pretty busy around here. We have two BBQ's this weekend so I needed to make two desserts to bring with us. I can never decide what to make and also end up whipping something together at the last minute.

Anyway, I have another card using an ekit from Making Handmade Cards to share with you today. You should really check out their ekits. The printable papers and images are great! This cards uses the patterned paper from the Bella eKit for the pleated flower and scalloped edges. The pleated flower was made by cutting a strip of patterned paper 10.5 in by 3/4 in. I scored this at 1/4 in. interval, folded it like an accordion and glued the edges together. The sentiment is from PTI's Scattered Showers set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thanks for stopping by,
